"The Ski Bellevue Waterski Show team is gearing up for 2010 in a big way, and we need your help. Ski Bellevue has performed ski shows as part of Bellevue’s Heritage Days celebration for almost 30 years. This year we plan on expanding our schedule, adding ski shows to each of Bellevue’s Jam at the Dam events. With more shows and more skiers, our team is in need of another towboat. We purchased a used boat from another ski team last summer and have purchased a pair of used 150 HP outboards for it. The cost for the engines with controls was over $10,300.00. With the usual operating cost of the club, our team is in need of help with the financing of these motors.

This boat would not only allow our team to perform bigger acts and better shows this year, but would be very important to our future. Ski Bellevue is one of only four waterski show teams in Iowa, and the only one that performs on the Mississippi River.

Through the years hundreds of local kids and adults have learned to ski and perform in ski shows with Ski Bellevue. The ski kids learn teamwork, confidence and safety on the river. The veterans of the team say they love working with the kids and providing fun family entertainment for our town.

We are a local service club and would appreciate any additional financial help you could give us in our new boat and motor venture. We have set up numerous ways to acknowledge donors. Please see below and call me if you have any questions.
